I am Ana Kirkpatrick, a Des Moines based photographer who focuses on portrait, fashion and product photography. Throughout my work you will see my go to lens are a 50mm and 85mm. I love a creamy background with a really sharp subject. I don’t have just one editing style, i love going off what i’m shooting to create a full story throughout the gallery.
Senior Photos
When doing Senior photos my main focus is to make sure their personality is shown all throughout the shoot. This includes the location, outfit. hair style, and the editing i provide. When everything is cohesive to who they are as a person that’s when you have a beautiful gallery of work.
Event photography
Event photography is such an honor in itself and is something I enjoy doing. As photographers we get to capture the important moments in peoples young and adult lives. The most important parts of these shoots are the intimate moments within the family and friend groups, it’s also important to capture the emotions of the individuals throughout the event.
product photography
I found my love for product photography while attending my first year at DMACC. Going through the full photography program has taught me how much i love staging and creating product work. It allows you so much creative opportunity and teaches you how texture, color, liquids and food are affected by light. Product photography is taking something simple and make it desirable to the buyers.
